Peace & Freedom Party’s co-sponsored Suds, Snacks & Socialism monthly forum series continues in online form via Zoom meeting on Saturday, April 2, to discuss The D.A. recall and San Francisco values.
Chesa Boudin, San Francisco’s recently elected District Attorney, is facing a recall election in June. It does not please certain interests in the liberal city that he is fulfilling his campaign promise of prosecuting police officers who use excessive force and fatally shoot without cause.
Guest speakers include
- Lara Bazelon, law professor at the University of San Francisco, on behalf of the Chesa Boudin anti-recall campaign;
- Dan Kapelovitz, Green Party candidate for California Attorney General; and
- Richard Tan, criminal defense attorney in Oakland.
Join them as they discuss what it means to be a progressive prosecutor as well as the possibilities for real justice and public safety in a capitalist system.
The program will start promptly at 2:30pm PT and is expected to wrap up by 4:30pm. To join the forum, click here or write
